Hi. 

Me standing like I'm mourning in baby pink. I mean mourning and baby pink in one sentence? Sounds quite awful. That stance is mortifying actually but I get awkward mostly so they're not really intentional or premeditated stances I'm secretly employing as signature stances.. just to clear the air.. if it needed any clearing perhaps. So this was an official date dress and that just there is another mortifying statement and my expression above there says otherwise but boy was I excited to wear a dress in this particular length again. Well GO BABY PINK.

1. And with this not so recent purchase marks my entry into the business of official hat-toting-dom.. Wazaaaa!

2. On a brilliantly sun scorching morning we weren't prepared for, I managed to snag these books for 30 bucks each, a magazine and a Star Wars encyclopedia for the brother all for a whopping 270 bucks. There's nothing like book-nerding cheap eh..

3. That cold late afternoon in February on a grocery run in my usual garb..and those plastic bags were literally weighing me down and I remember trying to take this shot without my arms wobbling from the weight. These boots were all I literally wore since November.. I had such a good run with her these past months and with summer beckoning I'm having minor anxiety issues about putting them away. I'm sure you can relate to it when you've adopted the 'buy two shoes a year' policy.   

Bear Coat

Hey ho it's spring! Technically, that does not really exist here at all this side of the world and yes, give a week or two, you're going to wonder where spring went and exclaiming that it's spring is not really a legit way to start this.. I'm rambling away already. I guess the images up there got to me - the fuzzy texture of that bear coat there and all that crazy wind the day these pictures got taken so references to the weather seemed ideal. I'll keep the rambling short fer this post.

1. Took these old Superstars out and wore them today after almost 5 years. I must have been loitering around in college the last time I wore these. I wonder where my first white pair is though..dumped somewhere in my old pg or wait.. I think I gave them to a rickshawala.. bless him. I kept this pair safe because it was a farewell gift from a good friend before she left for Canada. Oh say hello to my little octopus there stuck on the wall.. her name is Carmine. Michael wanted to call her Captain Floogles though, which is quite absurd. Anyway, ever since my Steven Pinker post I still am obsessive about these sea creatures. 

2. If you've seen my Instagram, you will most likely be aware of the fact that I've been flowerbombing a lot. Flowerbomb this. Flowerbomb that. Well, call it domesticity. The word is starting to annoy me because of my incessant use. What flower is this anyway? Anyone? 

Penny Loafer-ing.

Hi. One of those outfits that are on repeat.
Furry neck braces. Mesh skirt that you can almost too easily slip on top of anything and probable school girl vibes with my kanken mini and penny loafers. On a major mission at this hour sorting last minute outfits for a certain shoot so leaving this short..

Margot, Margot.. Dear Margot.

This editorial is beyond amazing. Btw, I haven't really gotten on the sneaker/running shoe bandwagon yet because I have never, ever liked sneakers in my entire life. I've always preferred canvas shoes over them and the day I bought my first Adidas Superstar when I was in school?? Oh boy - all jumpy and excited. And recently, maybe not so recently, I have fallen so hard for Nike's Airmax - The Airmax 1 to be specific. It's probably time to yield in yeah?

2. Phone pictures from my last outfit post. And oh I do have a little anecdote to share about that day - my evil little brother who most graciously played fauxtographer asked me to check myself before he took the first shot. I looked down, then shot him a crazy snort/laugh as he was referring to the skin peek-a-boo-ing from between my top and my skirt so on I went and explained the whole geometrics of the cropped top, midriff baring business. It was actually heartwarming explaining that sort of thing, knowing that the topic of our conversation would have never taken place with a younger male sibling who plays computer games the whole day screaming "DIE! DIE! DIE!." And now off to the kitchen to munch on laddoos.

Whewff. That was one long slew - never mind the amount of time I took to make just three of those collages.. wondering which to put which with and criss-crossing images back and forth so yes, this is THE BIG HAUL. I say that because due to the long absence, I felt I had to present a rather huge spread that would convey a more, decisive current state of mood, influences and fangirl-ing obviously with Ms. Hanneli, Tavi, Mia and Ali all up there. There was more trust me but I buckled so as not to muddle the whole post so this is the final filter. TADA! Winter hasn't left us beings yet so I'm still wearing a lot of fuzzy sweaters, bulky coats and more precisely big roomy coats like the last image up there - it's cold and there's nothing like wearing said coat because nothing else makes me feel more stealthy than that. Y'know.. like you're walking on the road and for me, to feel a bit of that glide along with each stride is the closest thing to feeling like a superhero. Superhero? Seriously? Ah, I guess what I meant was the way most superheroes have capes and well, I have my big coat. Anyway, yeah for stealth and anonymity mostly.

Greetings.

It's already February but sincere NEW YEAR wishes to you all.

I was just joking about the fact that there was going to be a new blog post on my Instagram account - which is like an embarrassing personal revelation to me now that this long intended post is in the flesh - a gibe at myself for the umpteen attempts that I've been meaning to post here. I promise fervent updates are on the way!
