AND I'm back on the blog radar!
Was honing in on my migration/isolation skills for a bit there.
And back home now so no weather/exam rut I was talking about earlier. OH YEAH.
1. JC Clinic Knockoffs.
2. Shorts Galore. Only 99 bucks each.
3. My 16 year old sister's mood board.Teenage Dream. See that stuck on with the red and yellow pins? How apt is that?
You can expect to see me lunging my foot forward with that space shoe menace above soon.
So white which is SIC. Right about now, it's windy and foggy back here in the hills and I'm off to read The Myth of Penelope and Odysseus. I probably should put on Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zero's 'Home' if you get my drift ..just rubbing it in. HOME. HELL YEAH!

" When a male octopus spots a female, his normally grayish body suddenly becomes striped. He swims above the female and begins caressing her with SEVEN OF HIS ARMS. If she allows this, he will quickly reach toward her and slip his eighth arm into her breathing tube. A series
of sperm packets moves slowly through a groove in his arm, finally to slip into the mantle cavity of the female. "
Besides the usual fashion discourse, thought I'd inject this bit. Some graphic, trippy shizz yeah? And  psychedelic with all that reference to grayish body suddenly becoming striped and ooo..ooo SEVEN arms. No wonder I did a caps lock on that what with having only two arms to boast of for the average human. And I had weird projections of octopuses floating in my head all day, forget about the dating and mating which is just creepy. And getting tummy jiggles reading out sentences like " I scream. You scream. For ice cream. " This is what your language and linguistics paper can do to the average student. And seems I just got did. I really don't have a picture to go along with this post with all the exam and weather rut I'm in right now. Oh well, we'll just have to plod on then. *plod.plod.plod*

This feels a bit subdued compared to the last two posts which were otherwise intense.. INTENSE in mammoth proportions OH YEAH. All that print and color and what Lesly thought was a cosco ball. Haha. Yeah. That had to come eventually. And getting comments like 'oh blimey!you look like a girl from a painting!' no doubt one of the spontaneous reactions generated by that floral mayhem of a dress I called a visual treat.
Still a visual treat yeah? So coming back to this current post, yesterday had a lot to do with running around with  one of my best friends who's in town. AND BOY DID WE RUN AROUND. Grabbing whatever time we had in between to take these shots and complaining incessantly about how the lighting sucked, which pretty much exposes our poor skills when you have daylight in full bloom seeping through your skin. More complaints about how our old college had renovated their grounds because what we knew and saw before was altered, in a way that failed to include us. Or so we thought.
Our only solace would have been the pale apple green door I'm standing in front of.
We adored it. We'd open it and maybe have our own Alice-down-the-rabbit-hole moment.
Wearing a onesie swimsuit as a top, they go perfectly when you're wearing a skirt with that much volume and length. My friend up above there is all summer bound with an easy breezy top and classic denim shorts. Her Keds and my boots sure did get us rolling through the day.

Toast.

"There's a spanner in the works you know,
You've got to step up your game to make it to the top so go oh"
When a song is stuck, you naturally generate it into quotable quotes.
Couldn't do away with them curls just yet.
Wearing something this bright is still alien to me.
Yet I do, over and over AND over again.
So what seems alien is not even relevant anymore.
To contradict myself further, look at that neon THING I'm holding.
If you spot a giant baby sucking on juice from this THING, thats probably me.

"Oh, you have to watch it! It’s on in America, it’s a reality show. They snare pedophiles. They go online and pretend to be little boys and girls, and they get these pedophiles to come to this fake suburban house. And then this guy walks in called Chris Hansen and collars them. And then, when they try to walk out, these police officers jump on them! Aw, it’s the best thing. I mean, these poor guys, it’s not like they’re armed. I mean, they’re horrible, but they’re basically just sad, pathetic men … And they’ve got this guy who’s dressed in army camouflage, with leaves on his outfit, who hides in the bushes, leaps out and throws them to the ground. The Leaf Man! Oh, it’s so good. That’s what I want to do. I want to play the fake child on To Catch A Predator. No, wait! I want to play the Leaf Man!"
Carey Mulligan describing the show To Catch A Predator.

1. This dress is a visual treat. Literally.
2. Wondering whether to snip em' shorty short so I can wear them with my bulky kicks.. ?? .
3. My hair curler has been my best friend of late. That frickin' BOUNCE. So addictive.
4. New stripe-y socks. I love how they break up all that floral mayhem on top.

I've got my ginormous Sennheiser plugged to this. What's on yours?
SOMETHING GOOD CAN WORK YEAH??

Death Proof (2007)
Have you heard the dialogues on this one?? "Ni**a' PLEASE"
Any Quentin Tarantino fan around here?

The Runaways (2010)
Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett.
Sofia Coppola and Marc Jacobs.
One of the reasons why I treasured my Teen Vogue zines were cause of the Marc Jacobs and Juergen Teller campaigns that were on the sixth to eighth page of every issue. I LOVED those.
Ever wondered what it'd be like to be Francis Ford Coppola's daughter?
I grew up reading Mario Puzo's books when I should have been reading Nancy Drew or Agatha Christie so..
AND ever since I saw the young Ms Coppola in one of The Godfather movies, as lame as it sounds, I thought there was something about her. That face. A new kind of cool. Yeah. For lack of a better word. And well today's post is about this whole mesh of pretty cool girls under Tarantino's wing, a 1970 Dodge Challenger, Joan Jett, the Coppola clan, some mafia stuff that can only look cool for those of us that haven't been recruited yet. Did I say recruit? I'm definitely gonna get a sound thrashing by Don Corleone himself.
